3D Areola Restoration is a permanent solution for clients who’ve had any type of breast surgery. The process involves using a special tattooing technique to create the look of natural areolas and nipples.

If you do not have areolas and nipples, we can recreate the look of your previous areolas and nipples, or create a whole new look. If you do have areolas and nipples, we can match the color of the tattoo ink to your existing color, or we can darken the color.

Minimally-Invasive & No Downtime: 3D Areola Restoration is a non-surgical and minimally-invasive procedure, making it a safe option for clients who may not be eligible for further surgery, or those who simply prefer a less intrusive method to enhance their breast or chest appearance. Who is 3D Areola Restoration for?
3D Areola Restoration is for anyone who has had any type of breast surgery, including a mastectomy, breast reconstruction, or breast lift.
Areola Restoration is also appropriate for anyone who wants to enhance or adjust the appearance of their areola or for individuals who wish to conceal any irregularities in their areola or nipple.

Is 3D Areola Restoration painful?
We use a gentle, precise tattooing technique to apply pigment to the areola and nipple area. Sometimes, after having a mastectomy or top surgery, there can be a lack of feeling in the area. For clients who do have a natural areola and nipple, you may experience some pain; however, we will provide a topical numbing cream to minimize discomfort.
Can you color-match the tattooed areola to my existing areola?
We can absolutely match the color of your areola tattoo to your existing areola to create a seamless, natural-looking result.
If we’re creating a new areola, we can create a custom color that makes you feel your best!
Can you darken or lighten my existing areola?
We can darken the color of your existing areola. We can also reshape the areola to make the area larger.
We cannot lighten the color of your existing areola to make it appear smaller. However, we can camouflage scars on the breast. For more information on Scar Lightening treatment, click here.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Consultation: Before your treatment, we’ll have an in-depth Consultation. During your Consult, we’ll talk about treatments you’ve had so I can best understand your story. Then, we’ll discuss and agree on the color and size you’d like your areolas and nipples. Color and size are completely customizable and are unique to each individual.
I will offer a guideline for color and size based on your skin tone and breast size; however, you, as the client, will always have the final say.

“Before” Pictures: Prior to tattooing, we’ll take “before” photos of your breast or chest area. At Camouflaged, clients are never required to consent to social media posting. Your photos will only be viewed by your tattoo artist and are saved in a private folder for reference purposes only. Your photos will never be used without your written consent.

The Tattooing Process: During the tattoo process, we want you to be as comfortable as possible – this is your time. We have topical numbing that we’ll apply prior to tattooing to minimize pain. Then we can put on music or a podcast, you can throw on your headphones, we can chit-chat, or just bask in the silence of no kids-phone-dog-husband beckoning for your attention.
Note that the tattooing process itself typically takes one hour.

Aftercare Protocol: After we’re finished tattooing, we’ll talk aftercare. This is an essential part of the process, and it’s all you. Of course, we’re always just a phone call or text away, so don’t worry. We’ll also provide you with a handy cheat sheet so you don’t have to commit any of this info to memory.

“After” Pictures: The final step in your appointment is taking “After” photos. Just like with your “Before” photos, these pics will only be viewed by your tattoo artist and are saved in a private folder for reference purposes only. We will never use your photos without your written consent.
The entire appointment will take about two and a half hours.
After your appointment, we’ll schedule a Follow-Up in nine weeks to assess how your restored areola and nipple area is healing and determine if any touch-ups are needed.

Touch-Up Appointments are included with each service. After your initial appointment, we’ll schedule a Follow-Up in nine weeks to assess how your restored areola and nipple area is healing and determine if any touch-ups are needed.

We ask that you please reschedule or cancel no less than 24 hours before your scheduled appointment.
No shows or cancellations within 24 hours of your appointment will result in a cancellation fee of 100% of the price of your scheduled appointment.
