FREQUENTLY ASKED

  • What is inkless tattooing?
Inkless tattooing involves precise needling within each individual stretch mark using a tattoo machine. I use a colorless serum formulated specifically for stretch marks, which helps improve the texture, color, and elasticity of the skin in the treated area. No color is used in this method.
  • Is inkless tattooing the same as microneedling?
No. Inkless tattooing is performed with a tattoo machine that has hundreds of needle configurations. In contrast, microneedling machines only have 2-3 needle configurations, which makes it more difficult to be precise. Needle configurations are important because having the correct configuration ensures I can distribute product evenly within the affected area. Using a tattoo machine means I can work within small areas and not affect the surrounding skin.
  • What is camouflage tattooing?
Also known as skin-color tattooing or scar camouflage, camouflage tattooing is a precise method of tattooing during which I’ll place a specialized custom color ink to camouflage your scar. This technique involves using a needle and pigment to blend the scar into the natural skin surrounding the area.
  • Do you use a real tattoo machine gun?
Yes. This provides the best results, as I can change the needle size depending on your scar or stretch mark. I’m also able to control the speed and depth of the needle, meaning I have control of how deeply into the dermis it penetrates.
  • Do you work on keloid scars?
No. A keloid scar is a thick, raised scar that may occur in the area of a skin injury. If you’re prone to developing keloids, you may get them in more than one place. We cannot tattoo over keloid scars because this may cause the scar to become more raised and aggravated.
  • Why is tattooing better than a laser?
Lasers are used for treating a wide portion of skin, as a laser or IPL typically only has 1-2 heads, whereas when tattooing, we can focus on a much smaller skin area.
  • What is the difference between inkless and camouflage tattooing?
While I use a tattoo machine to perform both methods, the difference is that inkless tattooing involves using a colorless serum, and camouflage tattooing involves using color pigment. When treating stretch marks, I only use inkless tattooing. Scars are covered with ink to camouflage them into the surrounding skin color.
  • What type of scars do you work with?
I often work on post-surgical procedure scars. For example, tummy tucks, breast augmentations, wrist or knee surgery, self-harm scars, or even breast cancer scars. If you’re curious as to whether your scar may be treated, please contact me.
  • Will the treatment be painful?
Most treatments are done with topical numbing cream to ensure minimal discomfort.
  • Paramedical Booking Policy
We ask that you please reschedule or cancel no less than 24 hours before your scheduled appointment. No shows or cancellations within 24 hours of your appointment will result in a cancellation fee of 100% of the price of your scheduled appointment.
  • Do lash extensions damage your natural lashes?
No. A trained lash stylist knows how to correctly apply extensions without causing damage to your natural lashes.
  • Do lash extensions hurt?
No. When applied correctly, you should never feel pain during eyelash extension application.
  • How long do lash extensions last?
With proper aftercare, your lash extensions will remain “full” for up to two weeks post-appointment. Your natural lashes undergo a shed cycle over the course of a couple of weeks, which is why I recommend a fill appointment every 2-3 weeks. During a Fill, I will gently remove outgrown lash extensions and re-apply new, fresh extensions in place of these and the ones that have shed.
  • How do I clean my lash extensions?
Use an oil-free, extension-safe lash cleanser and a fluffy cleansing brush (think a soft eyeshadow crease brush) to cleanse your lashes nightly. I will recommend a cleanser to you during your initial Full Set appointment.
  • Can I wear makeup with my lash extensions?
Yes, you may wear makeup with lash extensions, but take care not to use mascara on the extensions themselves.
  • Can you get lash extensions after a lash lift?
Yes. This can be difficult because the natural lash may have a defined crease from the lash lift, but it is possible. If this is the case, we will discuss prior to your service.
  • Do you offer any other looks or styles other than Classic Lashes?
Yes. I also offer a Cat-Eye look. We’ll consult at the beginning of your service to determine the best length, fullness, and amount of drama for you.
  • What if I want to remove my lash extensions?
Please do not attempt to remove lash extensions at home. Professional removal is easy and takes only about a half hour. I use a gentle removal solution to carefully and painlessly remove the extensions while preserving the integrity of your natural lashes.
  • Lash Booking Policy
We ask that you please reschedule or cancel no less than 24 hours before your scheduled appointment. No shows or cancellations within 24 hours of your appointment will result in a cancellation fee of 100% of the price of your scheduled appointment.
  • What can I expect from hands-on lash training?
Hands-on lash training involves applying lash extensions to either a mannequin or a live model. Expect to be lashing for 1-2 ½ hours during the hands-on portion of the course.
  • What is the difference between being licensed and being certified? Do I need both?
We require that you be a licensed esthetician, cosmetologist, or lash extension specialist in the state of Texas to participate in our training classes. This means you have completed the appropriate state licensing program and tests and have an active Texas license. Upon successful completion of one of our training courses, you will receive a Lash Extension Course Completion Certificate, which certifies that you have taken our specific class to learn proper lash extension application technique. If you’re looking to make a career as a lash artist, I highly suggest you obtain at least one lash certificate after receiving your license. This ensures that you are proficient in the unique art of eyelash extension application.
  • Do I need to bring a model?
If you have a model who would like to receive lash extensions, please take a photo or video of their natural lashes and send them to me so I can evaluate whether or not the individual is a good candidate for extension training. If you do not know someone who is a good candidate to be a model, we recommend that you work on a mannequin.
  • What types of lash techniques will I learn?
Our introductory classes focus on Classic lash application or applying lashes 1:1 to the natural lash.
  • What do I need to bring to class?
Bring water, comfortable clothing, your questions, and a positive attitude!
